This was a very nice sports bar, lots of sports paraphernalia hanging from the ceiling and the walls and Disney decorations too. the food was very good. they have great wings. the Cajun wings are my favorite. sandwiches look great. I will come back! there's like 90 TVs, there is even TVs in the bathroom. definitely a great place to watch a game and enjoy some good food! And they are open late!

Decent sports bar, was worried about noise but it wasn't bad at all. Food is a little better then normal bar food, tasty with good portion sizes. Service was fast and courteous. Will eat here again for sure. The Oscars Club is HUGE and pretty inexpensive for the size.

Being from Pittsburgh, we avoided this restaurant for several years. We are not football fans, we really don't care about football. This year, we were staying very close so we decided to give it a try. A quick scan of the menu before we went got us excited, sandwiches and fries-our favorite!! We walked in and it wasn't too "Pittsburghy". I almost got the Oscar's Club, but there was too much I would have to request to remove. So, I made my own "Sammich". I chose Italian bread, turkey, American cheese, and Swiss cheese. Yum. Perfectly melted, and a buttery toasted bread! My husband got the turkey bacon melt. He was pleased. The fries are fresh cut and very salty. Next time I will request unsalted. Oscar's features "Primanti's Style Sandwiches", so that's cool if you like that. We never eat at Primanti's at home, so that wasn't for us. Cool place and was open late. We even saw it was busy when we left for our drive home at 2am!

Best sandwich place in Myrtle Beach. Big portions will not go hungry, lots of TVs and memorbilia. A Steelers Bar !!!! We visit every year when on vacation.

Stopped in here because it was one of the few restaurants open past 10PM. Was pleasantly surprised with the place. I got the Tuna Steak with fries and salad and it was very satisfying. The tuna was cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious. My mother was also pleased with her salad. Our server Lindsay was very nice and attentive. Would definitely return next time we are in Myrtle Beach!

It's a LOCAL fun bar. More TV's than an off track betting site!! Nice service. Food...I'm a foodie...so I have to say its a little hard to satisfy me. House salad - iceberg lettuce (no greenery) cucumbers & stalks of celery. Nice touch was the shredded cheddar cheese. PAUSE - here for the NCAA Championship game. The place is crowded, golfers, families, men, and even a couple tables of women. Tonight it's all BASKETBALL FANS!! Now, if the joint would just remember why we are here and crank the volume! Wings. WINGS ARE HERE. Honey BBQ was my fave and U usually like it HOT. These were meaty, crispy, and the sauce added juice. The Cajun had a good spice but not hot. I ordered the medium (shoulda got HOT) and it was a good heat but dry. Okay - we have volume & a game!! The pepperoni pizza was good. A thin crust, sweet tomato sauce and great cheese. My daughter loves it. DONT FORGET A GREAT GAME US GOING ON and our server JILL is taking great care of us. She recommended the triple layer chocolate cake, drizzled with Carmel and a side of whipped cream. YUM! So far so good. Except for UCONN!!

The last thing I wanted was a sportsbar after a 12 hr drive but WOW! Not only was the price fantastic the Grouper Was excellent. Nice atmosphere and attentive service.

Probably great for nfl sundays! Nachos were so so! 2 bartenders working and it wasnt very busy. First bartender was a meathead wanna be that didnt care about anyone but couple buddies in corner. Zero personality for a real bar. Second guy saw we were still empty and walked up offering beer shots food in any order! He had kinda longer hair pulled back and the kind of character i would want or hire! Again bet a great sports bar during games but i walk in again i would have to see who is working vs staying

Oscar's is a great place for food, sports and fun. The food is great and the bartenders and servers are very personable. A must stop in NMB.

Nice local place that's open late. We arrived around 9:30-20pm and it was still very busy. We both had blue cheese burgers, french fries and onion rings. The onion rings were very good but the french fries could have been cooked a bit longer. The burgers were very tasty. Mostly sandwiches and apps on the menu with 2 entrees.

Good: Service, decor (eclectic), fries, tons of TVs, price Bad: Beer list (limited, more craft beer needed), Wifi (weak, couldn't connect) My wife had the club which is a LOADED sandwich. I had the grouper sandwich which was a lot of bread & breading and almost no fish.

I was one of the first people to discover this place when it was in it's other location; No, I am not talking when it was next to the German Restaurant, but across the street in the pristine diner. Freddy served up a little slice of home in the form of a pirmanti-style sandwich and I was a fan for life. In the coming years, I soon became a regular at Oscars, even managing to hold the record for fastest yard of beer chugged (11.7 sec). It was a great bar back then and it still is today, The Steeler decor is awesome and the staff is very friendly. I would have ranked it 5 stars, but it is just hard to break away from the nostalgia of those days when I shot the breeze with Freddy and Carla

Sandwiches are very good, good sports bar atmosphere, wish they had a better beer selection. Kids meal are a little pricey, but the atmosphere keeps them entertained.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who travels there every year , knowing husb is a big Pitts Steelers fan,,, and we've been stopping in for 5 years now - everytime we're on vaca there in Myrtle Beach. The food is fabulous , very large portions and the staff has always been very friendly. We've had the reuben and philly steak sandwiches as well as the club sandwiches , all great and pretty large too ! The side cole slaw is really good -much better than others we've had. Was just there 2 weeks ago . . we're pretty sure it went 'no smoking' as we smelled nothing, , saw no one smoking, and remember a few yrs back a waitress told us she thought they were going to a 'no smoking' policy. just fyi ....much nicer than seeing smoke filtering from the bar area. We make it a point to go to Oscar's when we're there and will be going back again, and again. p.s. They do have some video games there for kids also to keep them occupied. Great place!

Good bar. I do find it weird how heavily they support the Steelers considering its in South Carolina but I guess being from Boston I'm just use to having really good hometown teams to support. Either way good wait staff from the 2 times I've been. Chicken wings ordered extra crispy are some of the best you'll find absolutely anywhere. A few of the other appetizers are delicious like the fried pickles and broccoli cheddar bites. I would have given the place a 5 star without any questions if I didn't witness one of the weirdest things in any restaurant I've ever been to. The hostess' after punching out from their shift sat at the bar and started drinking. It was extremely unprofessional to see the same people who had seated us getting rowdy drunk at the bar. Very awkward to see such a practice be acceptable. Amazing experience otherwise.

Oscars is a must do! It is a local restaurant with great food and great service. The Reuben is fantastic! It has a game area to use while you wait. The place is filled with Disney and sports memorabilia. We have been four times now and each time is better than the last!

Ok, our friends made up for the K&W visit by taking us to Oscar's! This place is suprisingly good! Honestly, just driving by the place, I doubt that I would have stopped in... it looks like a typical sports bar tailor-made for Steelers fans. (I am agnostic when it comes to sports, so I don't really care which team the bar is for.) When you go inside, it is a typical sports bar - darkened bar with TVs everywhere (literally-- even in the restrooms) as well as sports and other memorabilia all over the place. But the menu is amazing! It is quite extensive and I had a difficult time choosing what to eat. I finally settled on the grouper sandwhich with hand-cut french fries. Wow, that was a great choice! David had a philly cheese-steak and he definitely was impressed with his selection as well. You can have your bread toasted or not on your sandwhiches, and our waitress suggested toasted, which was definitely a good call! The portions are huge - but this place was worth the caloric splurge. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be going back!

A sports bar. Great place to come watch a sporting event. This is a touch of Pittsburgh in South Carolina. The Owner is formerly from Pittsburgh, according to our waitress. However, there is much more than just Pittsburgh Steeler memorabilia. Love all the bobble heads. We stopped here twice. Once for food and once to shoot pool and have some drinks. There are an amazing amount of televisions in this place. They have a big menu with lot's to choose from. You can also get a sandwich "Pittsburgh style", meaning with cole slaw and fries on it. Great place in North Myrtle beach.

Really good bar. Bartenders were very friendly and introduced themselves to every customer. Were attentive and knowledgable. Jukebox music was not my taste but thats just my opinion. Others enjoyed it though. But i cant complain. We had a good time and would definitly return. Jeff and eric did awesome n hooked us up. Great job boys. Thank you

I went here on the recommendation of my hotel's front desk clerk. Huge selection of burgers, chicken sandwiches, "rabbit food" (thats how salads are labeled on the menu), and specialty sandwiches. I ordered the meatball hoagie done "Pittsburgh Style" - fries, slaw, and tomato inside the sandwich. Took a moment to figure how to best tackle this large sandwich. Great taste and a most unique sandwich presentation. Incredible amount of tv's of various sizes, with a great variety of sports to keep your interest. Server was friendly, but would have appreciated a little guidance in making a menu selection. I did mention that it was my first visit. One other thing - this is the place for Pittsburgh Steelers fans. Lots of Pittsburgh related sports items cover the walls.

The atmosphere is eclectic but was by far one of the better meals I had on my visit here this week. I ate at Rioz, original Benjamin's and a few other expensive places but oscars was better than all of them. They had great friendly service, fast and good food. It's a bar with bar food but it's good, clean, friendly and reasonably priced for a tourist town. I will go back again.

Dark, little sports bars like this were my favorite before I left the depressed world of alcoholism. Went on a quiet day, very few people in the place for lunch. It was recommended to my by a friend who keeps talking about a Steeler bar in Myrtle Beach. Being from Pittsburgh, the reason I leave Pittsburgh is to get away from Yinzers for a bit. I wouldn't call this a Steelers bar, per se, just a sports bar. The food was average sports bar cuisine, nothing special. The hand cut fries were not very good, fried fish was just a flash frozen plank, onion ringers frozen specials as well. The cheese steak sandwich looked really good. I ate a hot dog which was sufficient but extremely salty and the chili which was served on it seemed like it was a day old or so. 35 dollars lunch for three. The staff were extremely friendly! Music was also a little loud for 11:30 with only 6 guests in the entire place. I would go again, if I start my depressed drinking again. Seems like a locals place. Nothing to write home to Pittsburgh about.

Yet not one person has greeted me or asked what I'd like just as a waitress grabbed bottles off the table I'm standing at. Maybe they just don't give a shit? Of maybe she just didn't give a shit! To much "noise" going on with all the stuuf hanging on the walls. Not design well with little nooks and crannies everywhere to sit. The boast about over 80 TV's or something like that, funny most of them are 12'inch screens, so nothig to brag about. Just seems to crowded with all the stuff in the bar, lets see whats its like with football season starts.

  • David L.

I only go at night to sit at the bar and play trivia. The bar staff knows how to treat customers and never make you wait too long even if they are busy. It is a Black & Yellow mecca but you don't have to be a fan. You can even cheer when Big Ben throws an interception. The wings are awesome, so are the nachos. I will be back!!!!!

  • Lorand M.

No question.....disgusting stale cig smoke...but....this is Myrtle Beach....smoking is the thing here it seems. TV's everywhere...although not always the highest quality picture. Definitely a "Pittsburgh" bar....but even Colts fans are welcome ! The food is surprisingly excellent ! Wings are amazingly crispy...I recommend getting them naked...with sauce on the side....thus they stay very crispy. Other food items are really excellent.....much better than you might expect from a dingy looking sports bar. Staff is quite attentive....without a lot of the "I hate tourists" attitude.

  • Jenni P.

If I was just rating the food and drinks, this place would get a solid five stars. I've been visiting here for years and years, but the fact it is filled with stale, disgusting cigarette smoke probably only deserves 1 star, but I'm being generous in giving it two. Staff is great. Food is great. Beer is great. But you WILL smell like a smokestack leaving at the end of the night. I can't wait until South Carolina gets with the program and outlaws smoking in public places!!!!!!!!!

We went to Oscar's on Memorial Day Monday for dinner, and after coming here year after year, we were pleased to find the restaurant smoke-free (due to a local ordinance). As usual, the service was good and the food was excellent. We had the fried pickles as an appetizer, and the teriyaki chicken and beef au jus sandwhices as entrees. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is a Pittsburgh Steelers themed restaurant (people will either love that or hate it). One of our favorite things about the restaurant is the Pittsburgh-style coleslaw. Instead of being creamy, it's a vinegar-based slaw, which we really like. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

    (4)
  • Jamie P.

Before it became the Pittsburgh Steelers Mecca, I would have given it more stars. So much of Oscar's unique charm dried up right with the black and yellow paint. Don't plan on feeling like you fit in if you're local and/or Southern. HOWEVER, the menu is extensive, and I've never gotten something that was less than good. If you go, you must get the fried mozzarella sticks. They cut and bread the cheese in-house, and they are amazing. The customer service is lacking, but the parking lot is always packed, so I guess it's working out for them.

Thanks to legislation, maybe the sour reviews here have "expired"! North Myrtle Beach is now smoke-free and that includes Oscar's! I admit, as a non-smoker, it is much more pleasant everywhere I go in NMB now. That being said, this review is not about a particular experience, but an overall picture. Oscar's is a highlight of North Myrtle Beach. With so many tourist mentality "give me your money and get out" options nearby, Oscar's sets itself far apart from the ordinary, typical bar fare and experience. The food, service and atmosphere, almost always, rank outstanding. The "Oscar's Club" reaches exceptional. This may be one of those occasions where "world famous" in the title of a menu item is called for. I could order one and enjoy eating the crust alone. Yes, this sandwich is made with GOOD bread. I would like a bit leaner meat, but I can live with it! This is another of my once-a-month indulgences. I don't know why this sandwich hasn't made it on the cooking channel yet. The slaw is yummy (kinda oil/vingarey... not mayonnaisey) and I like the fries. Twice a week, wings go on special after 10pm. I normally get cajun, extra crispy. They are the best wings I've had here in NMB. There are multiple screens for your sports viewing pleasure visible from every seat. Sadly, I don't see FuelTV on them very often. On game days, the place gets pretty busy. Especially if gold and black are involved. Normally my wife and I get out for under $30. Oscar's represents a solid value!

I love this place. It's one of the few place that I return to multiple times when I'm visiting the fam in SC. Highlights: 1. Little to no wait! Where else on 17 can you get seated within 10 minutes during prime tourist time? 2. OMG the Reuben! I'm new to the Reuben sandwich. For years I thought that I didn't like them. Oh how I missed out. But I digress.... for sure try this one, they are about the only place on the beach that cuts their own corned beef. Yum. 3. The fries. Total malt vinegar craving fries. My one complaint. For a sports bar with a zillion tv screens, there was no ESPN on. Really?

    (4)
  • Sarah C.

Didn't think it would be much, but my friend and I had great sandwiches. Her cheese steak was on wonderful crunchy italian bread. My veggie wrap was delicious, and the sweet potato fries were even better! And a good, inexpensive meal was welcome!

Got in on a delayed flight from NY and decided to try Oscars since I had heard it was open late and was decent. Got in after 10:00 and there were a number of locals watching both college and pro football on one of the many screens. There must be like 50 TV's in the place. Everything is painted black and gold since this is a Steelers bar. The bar itself is nice and large and there are plenty of tables throughout the restaurant. All in all a very typical "sports. Bar" pub. The service was decent and they do pour a nice size drink. I ordered the fried pickles and a dozen Cajun wings. They advertise the pickles as spicy but they weren't, although still very good, fired crispy and tasty. The wings were Cajun style and had a bit more heat and very good flavor. They must make both fresh since they did take a bit of time to come out of the kitchen but were worth the wait. Overall, it's a good late night option with good drinks and decent food.

My favorite dish is the grilled chicken salad that has homemade french fries. Bar atmosphere. Smoky smelling from years of allowing smoking in the restaurant. It is outlawed now. They need to do some deep cleaning. Food is great. Service is great. Sports Bar. You can come as you are to the restaurant. Plenty of TVs for the sports fans.

This is my favorite sports bar in MB. Always a good stop following a round of golf or with the family. Nice sized menu and food is always good and service is top notch. I especialy enjoy the rolls they use for sandwiches. Interesting how they have made little coves for watching games. College football weekends are awsome with small groups in many different areas watching and yelling for their teams. Makes for a fun afternoon.

Absolutely wonderful service! The servers were so nice and attentive. More than one server checked on us, which was great because that doesn't happen in a lot of restaurants. We just had a few appetizers but they were great. I can't wait to go back and try some more from the menu. They have a great Happy Hour with some appetizers priced around $3.99 and, of course, cheaper beer and alcohol. There was a TV at every booth which is a nice touch if you're a sport lover. Overall, can't wait to come back!

Great little local joint. I don't quite get the decor, but that was really secondary. We went in for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Crowd was light. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered a pub pretzel to start. It was just a microwaved soft pretzel, nothing fancy. Then we split the Oscar's Club. We did the $1 surcharge for a shared plate so we got more fries and cole slaw and an extra plate. The sandwich was good. It was massive, though, and I definitely could not eat it as it was - I took it apart and basically ate it in two parts. I really only ate the turkey/ham/lettuce side. The toasted Italian bread was soft and chewy. The fries were hand cut, fresh, and hot. As I said, the service was friendly, and our order was taken and prepared promptly. We'll definitely go back, but we might opt for a smaller sandwich next time!

Huge servings of delicious food and excellent staff. Open face roast beef sandwich was one of the most jaw dropping plates of food ever served to me.

  • Todd A.

Nice enough but dont be fooled...its not a true Pittsburgh bar. No coleslaw on the sandwich's, no perogies, or IC on draft. Pirates were only on 1/3 of the tvs and it was really just casual dining that seemed to try to capitalize on the Pitsburgh-ers in the area. Food was good and prices were fair.

Great food and service! Came here last year. Recommend to anyone who wants casual food and atmosphere.

As yet another Pittsburgh family on vacation in Myrtle, this was surprisingly good! Kitschy decor with a touch of Steel City pride added to the experience with totally perfect lunch fare. Worth it!

I ordered a side of the Mac n cheese to split with my two small children. It was so good that I had to order another one after tasting it. I did not care for the wings. They seemed small and a little in the dry side for the price. Others in our group got appetizers, burgers, and fish sandwiches. The apps were good and those that got burgers enjoyed them. The fish sandwich was reported to be a bit too "fishy" tasting but still okay. Mac n cheese is worth the visit!

It was after 10pm & we hadn't eaten - we were looking for a place to grab a bite & have a drink. What a great find Oscar's is. The food is fresh & the atmosphere is awesome... What a collection! Zach S. was our server & he was the bomb. We will be back!!!
